Leadership
Jenny Goldstock WrightJenny is the co-Founder and President of Wishbone Consulting Group. She began her career as an Investigative Analyst in the Suffolk County (MA) District Attorney’s office, exposing her to troubling inequalities for young African Americans in Boston’s inner city. Looking for solutions, Jenny pursued a Master of Education degree with an emphasis on education and social policy which catapulted her next phase as a nonprofit Founder and Executive Director. Together with two colleagues in 1997, Jenny founded SMART in San Francisco to address educational inequalities for talented, low-income minority students. To date, SMART has helped hundreds of bright, deserving young people realize their educational and career dreams, and continues to grow and thrive as an exceptional education nonprofit in California.
Upon moving back to her home state of New York in 2000 Jenny switched gears and joined the philanthropic sector as a family foundation Executive and then Philanthropic Consultant for Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. When a NFL player was referred to Jenny as a philanthropy client, her career took an important twist as an educator for new philanthropists such as professional athletes and celebrities. Through her work at Wishbone, Jenny demonstrates a strong commitment to exploring synergies between seasoned donors, such as the Rockefeller family, with less experienced philanthropists who are poised to bring both generosity and name recognition to the field of charitable giving. Jenny combines her deep understanding of philanthropy and the nonprofit sector with a particular interest in the advancement of civil rights and social equity nationwide. Whether working directly with individual clients, providing philanthropy education to the NBA corporate staff, or identifying new nonprofit initiatives warranting funding, Jenny demonstrates depth of knowledge, personal integrity, and commitment to excellence in all areas of philanthropic and nonprofit consulting. Jenny received her Bachelor of Arts from Skidmore College and her Master of Education from Harvard University. |
